Course Reflective Narratives
In the fall semester of 2022, I had to take SPAN 300. Pre-capstone Spanish Majors is a course where students start to look for a variety of options to complete the capstone project. In this course, I decided what topic I was going to do my investigation on and partner up with a couple of classmates. This course prepared me to choose an appropriate topic for this important project. Also, I was able to develop research questions that were going to be relative to my topic. This course provided me with so much useful information and gave me so many resources that will help me to accomplish my goal and complete a good research paper. In addition, thanks to this course, I was able to develop skills such as an effective research outline and timeline for the selected Capstone topic. As well as writing a preliminary abstract describing your Capstone project and initiating & developing content for the Graduation e-Portfolio. Throughout this course, I was able to learn how to look at and properly use peer-reviewed sources for this project. I believe this course did an excellent job at preparing and kind of setting up the idea of how to elaborate the format for this paper since it has to be very professional and clear. In addition, as a class, we had the opportunity to have guest speakers in class, who showed us how to properly use and navigate the CSUMB Library website. Mrs. Sarah gave up very specific, useful tools and very important information to be successful in our project. I believed that without her help I would have been lost in the process of searching for credible sources. To conclude, I have seen a development throughout my learning experience after taking this course that really provided me with knowledgeable behavior and success in my future career.
