MLO6: RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY
MLO 6: RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY:
The student demonstrates an ability to use technology in support of his or her scholarly work and research projects, including gathering, organizing, and analyzing sources and employing appropriate delivery techniques in both written and oral formats.
Under this criterion, I have completed WLC300 Major Proseminar (Fall 2022) SPAN 300 Pre-Capstone Spanish Majors (Fall 2022) and WLC 400 Major Capstone (Spring 2023)
During the fall of 2022, I completed WLC 300 Major Proseminar. This course was really helpful and positively impacted my life as a student and a future professional. First, this course helped me to learn how to work in a group and develop the skills of listening and engaging with different people. A main goal for this course was to demonstrate the ability to become an autonomous learner by engaging in continuous learning, and assessment activities and refining a certain learning plan that is specifically designed to fulfill major specific learning outcomes. Through this course, I was also required to demonstrate knowledge of and ability to satisfy all university-wide learning requirements. I was able to meet this goal by completing a professional resume that would be beneficial in my future career as a professional. Also, I received a handful of support from many people including professors, counselors, and some excerpts on different fields such as professors, translators, and social workers. They drew a path for the entire class and talked about how important it is to meet with counselors, professors and take advantage of the different programs offered by CSUMB. To add, in this course, we also learned to be aware of the relevant professional opportunities and relevant learning needs and thanks to this course I also learned and developed some technical skills while working on my EPORTFOLIO and some other assignments such as Google Docs, Google Slides, PDFs, Weebly. Furthermore, in this course, I was also taught how to write a professional email. It starts by writing about a clear subject, including the course name and number (WLC300). Lastly, make sure the content is short and clear. End the email appropriately with a “Sincerely” followed by my name. To conclude, now that everything is required to be done in programs such as Google Docs, PDFs, and Google Slides I will put what I learned into practice when I am required to turn my work in via email or canvas.
